What is Metal Dollar (XMD)?

This article gives a brief overview of the Metal Dollar (XMD) stablecoin.

Metal Dollar is a reserve-backed stablecoin index treasury. It is a basket of stablecoins that provides 1:1 minting and redeeming capabilities with USDC, PYUSD and XPAX. 

XMD offers enhanced risk management ability as well as interoperability between individual stablecoins, while streamlining different stablecoin trading pairs into one pair.

New reserve stablecoins can be added to the Metal Dollar index via the Metal DAO governance process.
