How do I restore an account using a private key or seed phrase on the WebAuth mobile wallet?

The WebAuth Wallet is the official wallet for XPR Network and METAL Blockchain. It’s faster, more powerful, and more secure than ever, all while being developed by the same trusted team. Like its previous version, it remains a non-custodial wallet, which means your Private Keys are stored locally on your device.

⚠️ If you're looking to migrate your XPR Network and Metal Blockchain accounts to the WebAuth app, we highly recommend that you back up your private key before moving forward.

Before You Start

• IMPORTANT: Backup your Private Key from the WebAuth Wallet
• Remember, an XPR Network private key will only restore the XPR Network account, while a Metal Blockchain private key will only restore the Metal Blockchain account. However, the 12-word seed phrase mnemonic can recover both accounts.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open the WebAuth Wallet app on your device.

Step 2: Tap on the ‘Login’ link at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Click 'Import Account'

Step 4: Enter your private key or 12-word mnemonic phrase (input these words, ensuring there is one single space between each word and that they are in lower case) in the field provided.

Step 5: Your XPR Network account is now restored on the WebAuth Wallet app using your private key!

⚠️ Please note that Metal Client Services cannot view or recover your Private Key. If you don’t write it down, you won’t be able to regain access to your WebAuth mobile account, and your funds could be permanently lost. Click here for tips on keeping your private key(s) secure.
