How do I deposit crypto from an external wallet into my WebAuth.com Wallet using the Bridge?

This guide will help you receive and convert various cryptocurrencies on Metal X from an external wallet or service provider.

Before you begin

• You’ll need to create an account and complete the verification process.
• Make sure to check out the Security Best Practices guide and confirm that you have backed up your Private Key.

Let’s get started

1. Go to our Bridge site.
2. Click the “Connect Wallet” button in the top right corner of the page.
3. Select WebAuth.com Wallet.
4. At this point, grab your mobile device. Open the WebAuth.com Wallet app and follow the on-screen instructions to scan the QR code and authorize access.
5. When you see your name in the top right corner of the webpage, it means your WebAuth.com Wallet app is connected to our Bridge site. Now, select the Deposit tab and choose the coin you’d like to deposit.

⚠️ Please double-check that the deposit address and cryptocurrency match—sending the wrong type can lead to permanent loss of funds!

1. In this example, I’ll be receiving USDC, but the process is the same for any of the listed cryptocurrencies. Be sure to check back often, as we’re regularly adding new cryptocurrencies. After selecting the coin, a popup will appear asking you to review the transaction on your mobile device.
2. Grab your mobile device again and open WebAuth Wallet. Once the app finishes loading, you’ll see a prompt. Follow the on-screen instructions to authorize the transaction.

You’ll now see a QR code and Deposit Address displayed on the Metal X website. You can send coins from your external wallet or service provider to the deposit address you just generated.

That’s all there is to it! Keep an eye on the transaction hash status to confirm that the coins have been sent. Your account will be credited once our system has enough time to confirm the transaction, which usually takes about 20 minutes after the transfer is posted to the blockchain.

Now you can easily swap your newly added coins with Swap, add them to a liquidity pool, or use them for limit orders in Metal X. Plus, you won't have to worry about gas fees anymore!
